We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated people to work under the direction of senior staff to support the effective operation of the school.
You will play a key role in maintaining our site and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community. You will be hard working, enthusiastic and flexible with high standards and a 'can do' attitude. You will be able to work with a wide range of people, act on your own initiative and deal with any unexpected problems that arise. You will possess the necessary skills to carry out non-specialist building maintenance work e.g. plumbing, glazing, carpentry, decorating etc, where such work is agreed as being within the reasonable capacity of normal handyperson/DIY Skills with strict adherence to Health and Safety regulations. You will be willing to support the activities of the school by following a morning or afternoon shift pattern, incorporating key holding duties for lettings outside of the normal school day.
Duties will include following a regular routine of checking the proper operation and function of alarms and fire equipment; following the water flushing routine; liaising with contractors carrying out maintenance checks and services; general maintenance and cleaning and general portage and collection activities as required.
