|This is a fixed term position for 1 year. Main grade Educational Psychologist, Soulbury A Scale, Points 4-8 - Maternity Cover for FT post-holder.
The Educational and Child Psychology Service (ECPS) is within Stoke City Council's Learning Services area. It is part of Inclusive Learning Services and is a particularly pro-active, well respected and creative service where professional practice is valued and professional development is well supported.
Although Stoke City experiences high levels of inner city deprivation it is a vibrant and changing place to live and work. The approach of the services who work on behalf of our children and young people is collaborative and child-focussed. This allows us tobe creative in finding solutions to meet needs. We are just at the start of the journey with schools, early years provision and other providers of education and care in enabling all to understand and meet the needs of our 0-25y population according to the new Ofsted framework which underpins a focus on the achievement of the most vulnerable groups. This means closer collaborative multi-agency working than ever before. There has never been a better time to join us!
To ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient high quality Educational/Child Psychology Service to a designated group of schools (and other providers of care and education for children/young people 0-25y) in order to increase the achievements and wellbeing of children and the effectiveness of adults and organisations responsible for them.
