|SALARY: Level 7 (£23,111 - £25,463) + allowances for weekend working, 12.5% shift allowance and sleep in payments, giving an average salary of £29,075 - £31,907. This will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.
We are looking to recruit full-time Residential Care Workers (average 37 hour week plus sleep-in duties) for our Small Group Homes for young people who present social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
You must demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to caring for young people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles. You must be able to manage challenging behaviour, as well as support young people to take part in a wide range of activities, attend education and engage well within the community in which they reside. This is a challenging role and would suit an individual whom is able to use their own initiative and work well under pressure. Working as part of a team is crucial and you would need to be extremely resilient and to open to a therapeutic parenting model.
WORKING ROTA: There is a requirement to work flexible hours to cover a rota and this will include evenings, weekends and bank holiday working. You will also be required to sleep in when required and rostered to do so.
