Shared Lives scheme provides accommodation and support to vulnerable adults who are supported within the ordinary households of approved Shared Lives Carers and their families. The team recruit, assess, train and support individuals, couples or families to become Approved Shared Lives Carers across Stoke-on-Trent.
We are recruiting Shared Lives carers to begin an exciting journey working with the Shared Lives Team providing accommodation for people with Learning Disabilities. The Shared Lives Team will work together with the carers to offer the chance for people with a Learning Disability to be provided with the opportunity to live within an ordinary family setting.
Applicants will need to demonstrate that they are positive, compassionate, caring, patience, commitment, understanding, flexibility, creative, organized, excellent communication, resilience, time management, empathy, problem solving and trustworthy.
